Sienna and Logan were together for four years before he dumped her the moment her identity as an illegitimate daughter came to light. From then on, Sienna became Logan's lapdog. Wherever he went, she followed. She would have traded her last shred of dignity for a chance at getting back together. To Logan, she was nothing but a toy. Every so often, he'd drag her out just so everyone could have a good laugh at her expense. That is, until the day of Logan's engagement party, when Sienna got into a car accident. When she woke up, she didn't remember him. Logan gritted his teeth and warned Sienna not to pull any tricks, swore he wouldn't leave his engagement to go see her, and then showed up in her hospital room anyway. "You got into a car accident and just happened to forget me? You're faking it. Don't think I'll feel sorry for you." "Drop the act. You used to be my lapdog." Sienna looked at Logan, who was practically frothing at the mouth, and said calmly, "You know what your face looks like right now? Like a guy who's furious his lapdog stopped licking his boots." The Sienna who woke up from the accident with no memory couldn't relate to her past self at all. Who needs a loser like Logan when there were sweet boys and bad boys just waiting to be enjoyed? Sienna decided she was young, and she was going to enjoy herself. Play the field. Have some fun. But the more she played, the more men started showing up behind her, all demanding to be official. Even Logan, the guy who wouldn't give her the time of day, was among them?

Chapter 1When Sienna Sterling opened her eyes, she was in the hospital, overwhelmed by the harsh scent of bleach. This wasn't some fantasy rebirth or time travel; she had genuinely been hit by a car.The doctor leaned over, shining a light into her pupils to assess her condition, before finally shaking his head. "It appears she has only lost a portion of her memory. Thankfully, the rest are just superficial injuries."Her brother, Sean Sterling, sat by the bed with a heavy gaze. "Are you sure?"Turning back to her, he asked, "Do you know what day it is today?"Sienna blinked. "What day?""It's the day Logan Lockwood gets engaged.""Who's Logan Lockwood?"Sean froze. After a long moment, he gave a loaded response. "Your ex-boyfriend."Logan was the heir to the Lockwood family. Sienna had been with him for four years, only for him to unceremoniously dump her because of her illegitimate birth status.Sienna had been so devastated that Sean had genuinely feared she might do something drastic."Oh," Sienna said flatly. "Well, wish him a happy engagement for me."Sean opened his mouth, then closed it.Everyone in their social circle knew that when Sienna was blinded by love, not even a team of horses could hold her back.Things were different now. The horses hadn't stopped her, but a car certainly did.It felt a bit morbid, but perhaps...Sean swallowed hard. After getting hit by that car, Sienna had actually forgotten him."Get some rest. You have a concussion, and the trauma might have caused the memory loss," Sean told her. "I'm heading to the engagement party. I'll be back tonight to check on you.""Sounds good." Sienna sat up in bed, her pale, stunning face entirely devoid of any emotion regarding Logan's engagement. "Bring me back some good food and wine. I want Maine lobster, freshly caught."Sean was speechless.Right after he walked out, Sienna's phone buzzed. Her old phone had been crushed in the accident. This was a brand-new one Sean had bought her, completely wiped of her old chat history.[Hubby: You got into a car accident?]Sienna sent back a question mark.[Sienna: Who is this?]Where did a husband come from?[Hubby: Heh.][Hubby: I heard you got hit by a car and lost your memory. I tolerated you for four years, which is more than generous. Stop playing these petty games behind my back!][Sienna: Psycho.][Logan: ?][Sienna: Asshole.][Logan: ?]Sienna tossed the phone aside, ignoring his messages, and massaged her temples. She remembered her background, her family, and even her part-time tutoring job. The only thing missing was Logan. And everything about their relationship.A moment later, her phone rang. Logan's voice came through, cold and distant, cutting through the loud background noise of a party. "What's that supposed to mean?"Sienna recognized him from the caller ID. "Logan?"There was an undeniable, unfamiliar distance in her voice. That detachment struck a nerve, leaving a faint echo in Logan's mind.He frowned slightly. "It's really quiet where you are.""I'm in the hospital," Sienna replied. "I got hit by a car."Logan scoffed. "So this isn't an act?""Just say whatever it is you want to say," she told him.His tone darkened. "Don't try to manipulate me into leaving my engagement party to keep you company.""Why would I want your company? Go enjoy your wedding."Logan drew in a sharp breath. "You used to love playing this game.""I don't have time to play games with you anymore," Sienna said. "Don't call me again unless it's urgent. I don't want your fiancé coming after me. I'm just an ex."Logan's expression shifted in shock. In the past, Sienna hadn't even dared to claim the title of his girlfriend. She had been so submissive she never asked for a title, let alone spoken about their relationship so casually after a breakup."You think you deserve to be my ex? Let me tell you, if you dare spin some exaggerated story to my fiancée—"He cut himself off abruptly. Through the receiver, he heard a nurse instructing Sienna to check her temperature to ensure her wounds hadn't gotten infected. She was actually hurt.Behind him, guests mingled in a lively celebration, while Sienna's end of the line was eerily silent.Logan's eyes darkened."You just stay put in the hospital today. Don't cause any trouble."Before he could finish, Sienna hung up.At nine-thirty that night, Logan walked into Sienna's hospital room. When he didn't see her completely wrapped in bandages and immobilized, he let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. Then, his face twisted into a sneer. "Looks like all your limbs are still attached."Sienna looked at him with genuine confusion before her intuition kicked in. "Logan?""Where exactly are you hurt?"He stepped closer, examining her face, and finally noticed the visible scrapes on her skin. His voice softened marginally. "Did you really lose your memory?""I lost a portion of it," she said simply. How was she this calm?Logan took a deep breath. "I came to see if you were just putting on a show."Sienna studied him with curiosity. "Did I really love you that much before?"Logan froze. The cynical smirk on his handsome face slowly vanished the second it brushed against something genuine. He knew exactly why she had been in that accident.Last night, at his pre-wedding bachelor party, he had been drinking and playing truth or dare. His friends had teased him about stringing Sienna along, asking if he planned to marry a wealthy heiress while keeping Sienna as his side piece.Logan had shrugged and said, why not? He was rich. What was wrong with having both? It wasn't like he couldn't afford it.He bragged that Sienna loved him the most, that she was probably sitting around romanticizing their relationship even as he prepared to get engaged. He bet that with a single call, she'd come running.A friend had swirled his drink with a knowing smirk and challenged him to prove it.So, Logan made the call. Sienna had picked up, her voice thick with tears. "Why are you calling me!""I missed you. I drank too much. Come pick me up at the club."He gave her the address, and half an hour later, she actually showed up.Terrified that he would get alcohol poisoning, she had rushed over in the middle of the night. Her hair was messy, draped over her shoulders, and she was still in her pajamas. In her hands, she clutched a bottle of yogurt from a convenience store and a container of sliced watermelon. Both were meant to help him sober up.Barefaced and strikingly pale, she had appeared right at their booth, leaving his entitled friends staring in stunned silence.Even Logan had been caught off guard."You... you rushed over here?""I was afraid you'd black out and something would happen..." Sienna gripped the plastic bag tightly, her eyes darting around. "What is all this..."Logan had let out a careless laugh. "Haha, just messing with you. I can't believe you actually came. See? I told you guys, one call and she comes running. A snap of my fingers and she's right here."Some of the guys couldn't even force a laugh. They usually mocked her for being a naive, desperate fool, but seeing her genuine concern and anxiety stripped away their desire to laugh. They felt guilty."Messing with me?""Yeah," Logan said, oblivious to the shift in the room as he raised his glass. "My tolerance is way too high to get drunk. What's with the outfit, going for the innocent country look? Not bad. Stay and entertain us for a bit."The yogurt dropped from Sienna's hands, hitting the floor.Tears pooled in her eyes, caught between a sob and a bitter laugh. "Logan.""Yeah?""I loved you so much. I took you so seriously."Logan fell silent. For a fraction of a second, he felt his heart skip a beat in a way he couldn't explain."You jerk," Sienna had said, her innate class keeping her from hurling vicious curses even as she trembled with rage. "You just play with my feelings and trample all over me!""You lose some, you win some."Logan's voice had turned cold. "If you can't handle the game, don't play, Sienna."Humiliated and furious, Sienna had wiped her tears and walked out.An hour later, news spread through their social circles that she had been in a car accident. Logan had brushed it off, assuming it was just another desperate plea for attention. He intentionally didn't ask about her that night, convinced she would eventually break and come running back to him.Right up until he actually got engaged. Right up until now. After a long pause, Logan finally spoke. "You get into a car accident and conveniently only forget me? You're acting. Don't think for a second I'm going to feel sorry for you.""Don't flatter yourself." Sienna smiled, her expression far more ruthless than his. "Everything about you. I wiped it clean."Those words hit Logan much harder than he expected.Though he couldn't pinpoint exactly why, he felt the sting of her rejection. He stared blankly at the woman in front of him, then let out a cold laugh. "You used to follow me around like a lost puppy, you know that?"Sienna tilted her head. "Do you know what kind of expression you're making right now?"His breath hitched."You look like you're mad the puppy finally stopped chasing you," she said. For a brief moment, a look of absolute confusion and emptiness washed over his handsome face. Then came the fury. He laughed out of pure anger. "Don't push your luck. I just came to check on you, nobody actually cares! If you want to die, do it somewhere far away from me. Stop dragging me down!"Throwing those words like daggers, Logan stormed out of the hospital room, slamming the door behind him.The crash was deafening, rattling the nightstand and the container of pigeon soup he had brought with him.Sienna stared at the soup, lost in thought.******The doctor and Sean had both assumed that a good night's sleep would cure the amnesia. But when Sienna woke up the next day, she still couldn't recall a single thing about Logan.Pressing a hand to her forehead, she muttered, "Maybe my brain's defense mechanism just kicked in."Sean exchanged a look with his doctor friend."Was he really terrible to me before?" Sienna asked.Sean looked away."Sean, tell me the truth," she pressed.Sean sighed. "Well, there was nothing we could do. Back then, you... you were willing." She was impossible to reason with.Sienna clicked her tongue and pinched the bridge of her nose. The doctor chuckled from the sidelines, unable to keep his mouth shut. "If you forgot, you forgot. At least it saves you from crying yourself to sleep at night."Both her brother and his friend left to handle their respective business, leaving Sienna to rest. She closed her eyes, easily recalling countless memories, but Logan's face was a complete blank. It was as if all data linked to him had been encrypted, the neural pathways permanently severed. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to force a memory, but when she opened them again, a strikingly handsome face was looming over her.Sienna jumped. "Hey, you—"He looked familiar. The man sat on the edge of her bed, while an older gentleman—likely his butler—stood behind him, looking deeply apologetic and bowing respectfully."Feeling any better?"The man handed her a gift box with a smirk that didn't quite reach his eyes. "My butler was in a rush to pick me up last night and collided with your car. I came personally to offer an apology.""Hey gorgeous," Sienna said flatly, "your guy hits me with a car, and you show up with this flippant attitude—""Look at the gift first."Sienna glanced down. A Hermes bag.A Birkin in exotic leather."I forgive you," Sienna said instantly. The man chuckled. "If it's not enough, just say the word."With that, he stood up, ready to leave.Sienna tilted her head. "Have we... met somewhere?"A flicker of genuine curiosity crossed his face."You don't remember?" he asked, his tone loaded with meaning."Your guy hit me with a car and gave me amnesia," she stated matter-of-factly.The man, used to looking down on everyone with a reckless, cynical arrogance, finally gave Sienna his full attention. He gauged the truth in her words. Could someone blinded by love actually get hit by a car on purpose? He offered a mysterious smile. "We met last night.""What?"Fragmented images flashed through Sienna's mind."Forgot to introduce myself. I'm Nolan Nash. Just flew back into the country yesterday. Last night, I was having drinks in a booth with your ex, Logan Lockwood."Nolan raised an eyebrow. "I saw you come to pick him up in the middle of the night. Wearing pajamas, barefaced, long dark hair."An explosion went off in Sienna's head.Chapter 2When Sienna Sterling opened her eyes, she was in the hospital, overwhelmed by the harsh scent of bleach. This wasn't some fantasy rebirth or time travel; she had genuinely been hit by a car.The doctor leaned over, shining a light into her pupils to assess her condition, before finally shaking his head. Wearing pajamas, barefaced, long dark hair."An explosion went off in Sienna's head.
